The 111th edition of the Tour de France, the most important cycling race in the world, starts on 29th June 2024
First stage | 29th June 2024 | Florence –> Rimini | 205 km
This stage will cross the Apennine Mountains, with a difference in altitude of 3800 metres, from the challenging climb of the Valico Tre Faggi to steeper slopes in the heart of the Republic of San Marino, the last of which ends close to the finishing line.
The first Yellow Jersey could go to one of the favourites for the whole Tour.
Second stage | 30th June 2024 | Cesenatico –> Rimini | 200 km
From Cesenatico the group of cyclists will ride through amazing plains before tackling the first two climbs, including the Cima Gallisterna, arriving just before the Imola Racing Circuit.
Another 4 obstacles await the cyclists before the finishing line, including two climbs in San Luca (1,9 km at 10,6%) passing the 666 arches and stairs leading to the Sanctuary. The sprinters will be very surprised.
